Your Contribution
As a Product Designer with a strong interest in design systems, you will support the design team in shaping the visual and functional aspects of our SaaS platform, contributing to a seamless and consistent user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, developers, and product teams to contribute to our Design System and design solutions that are scalable, accessible, and user-friendly. This is a growth-oriented role where you’ll develop your skills while having a real impact on the platform.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks
Design System Ownership
Help maintain and evolve ITONICS’ Design System in Figma, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with business and user needs. Contribute to the documentation of Design System components in collaboration with senior designers. Partner with front-end engineers to ensure seamless implementation of design system components, advocating for design-to-code parity and pixel-perfect execution. Gather feedback from designers, developers, and users to refine and improve the Design System roadmap.
UI & Interaction Design
Translate product requirements into high-quality user interfaces, from wireframes to polished designs. Create interactive prototypes to visualize user flows and aid in development handoff. Design adaptive and responsive interfaces for seamless experiences across devices. Ensure consistency across all UI elements while maintaining design flexibility for evolving product needs.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Work
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to align design goals with product strategy. Participate in discussions between design and development with support from the team. Advocate for systematic design thinking, promoting modular, scalable, and reusable design components. Document and communicate design decisions effectively, ensuring clarity across teams.
Design Optimization & Handoff
Analyze feedback and usability data to refine and iterate on designs. Deliver high-quality Figma handoffs, ensuring developers have clear guidelines, assets, and specifications. Stay updated on UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve the design process.
Your Skills & Qualifications
REQUIRED
Experience and Portfolio: Proven experience (2+ years) as a Product designer, with a strong and compelling portfolio (e.g., website, dribble, Behance, etc.) showcasing your design work and relevant projects.
Technical Skills: Understanding of interaction design, including motion, micro-interactions, and usability heuristics. Experience in Figma and a strong willingness to grow in design systems. Familiarity with Front-end basics (HTML, CSS) to collaborate effectively with developers
Visual Design Skills: Firm grasp of visual design principles. Strong understanding of color theory, typography, spacing, grids, layout, visual hierarchy, and interaction patterns to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interfaces.
Design Systems: Experience designing and maintaining scalable design systems for SaaS or complex digital products. Evidence of work will set your application apart.
Product Design Best Practice: Good knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles for multi-device experiences.
Mindset: Aligned with ITONICS values. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to advocate for design best practices.
NICE TO HAVE
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, Interaction Design, Visual Arts, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Collaboration Tools: Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
Agility: Strong interpersonal skills, focusing on collaboration, adaptability, and the ability to take constructive feedback.
